IMPORTANT NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS REGARDING BURIED NATURAL GAS PIPING
 
This notice is being provided in accordance with Rule 49 CFR.192.16 of the United States Department of Transportation ("DOT Rule").
 
In accordance with the "DOT Rule" listed above, the City of Anna is hereby giving notice to all customers who have buried natural gas piping that is not maintained by the City of Anna's gas department of the following information:

1.  If the customer's buried piping is not maintained, it may be subject to the potential hazards of corrosion
     and leakage.
 
2.  Buried gas piping should be:
     a.  periodically inspected for leaks
     b.  periodically inspected for corrosion if the piping is metallic, and
     c.  repaired if any unsafe condition is discovered.
 
3.  When excavating near buried gas piping, the piping should be located in advance and the excavation
     done by hand.
 
4.  Plumbers and heating contractors can assist in locating; inspecting and repairing the customer's buried
     piping.
 
For your guidance in determining whether this notice applied to you, please be informed that in most cases, the City of Anna maintains buried gas piping from the main (generally located near the street curb) up to the gas meter on the customer's premises.  In addition, if the piping leaving the meter up to the principal gas utilization equipment is above ground when entering the customer's premises, this rule does not apply.  However, any customer that has any gas lines (secondary lines) such as a garage, BBQ grill, pool, etc, the above listed precautions should be noted.

AVISO IMPORTANTE A CLIENTES EN CUANTO A TUBERIA SEPULTADA NATURAL DE GAS
 
Proporcionan este aviso de acuerdo con la Regla 49 CFR.192.16 del Departmento de los Estados Unidos del Transporte ("Regla de DOT").
 
De acuerdo "con la Regla de DOT" puesto en una lista encima, la Cuidad de Anna da por este medio el aviso a todos los clientes que han sepultado la tuberia, natural gas que no es mantenida por la Cuidad del departamento de gas de Anna de la informacion siguiente:

1.  Si la tuberia sepultada del cliente no es mantenida, esto puede estar sujeto a los riesgos potenciales de
     corrosion y salida.
 
2.  La tuberia sepultada de gas deberia ser:
     a.  periodicamente inspeccionado para aguieros
     b.  periodicamente inspeccionado para la corrosion si la tuberia es metalica, y
     c.  reparado si cualquer condicion insegura es descubierta.
 
3.  Excavando cerca de la tuberia sepultada de gas, la tuberia deberia ser localizada de antemano y la
     excavacion hecha a mano.
 
4.  Los fontaneros y los contratistas clentadores puedan asistir en la locaizacion; la inspeccion y reparacion
     de la tuberia sepultada del cliente.
 
Para su direccion en determing si este aviso se aplica a usted, por favor ser informado que los casos intimos la Cuidad de Anna mantiene la tuberia sepultada de gas del principal (generalmente localizado cerca del freno de la calle) hasta el contado de gas equipo de utilizacion principal de gas sobre el local del cliente.  Ademas, si la tuberia que deja el metro hasta el equipo de utilizacion principal; de gas si debajo de la tierra entrando en el local del cliente, esta regla no se aplica.  Sin embargo, caulquer cliente que tiene caulquer linea de gas (lineas secundarias) como un garaje, parilla de barbacoa, fondo, etcetra, las susodichas precauciones puestas en una lista deberia ser notado.
